Qualifying for the reward
Your incentive is based on the average power your battery discharges across all Grid Events during the Program Year (April 1 – March 31). Any interval where no discharge is measured counts as 0 kW in the calculation.
Incentives are tiered:
- The first average kW (0–1 kW) is paid at $126/kW
- Each additional average kW is paid at $180/kW
For example, if you discharge 9 kW over a 3-hour event, that equals an average of 3 kW, earning $126 (0-1 kW) + $180 (1-2 kW) + $180 (2-3 kW) = $486.
Note, performance in a Grid Event depends on the amount of energy available to discharge during the event. Low SOCs may result in limited or skipped participation in events and thus reduced incentives. When you'll receive it
Incentives are paid out by July 31st following the end of the Program Year. For the 2026–2027 program year, expect payment by July 31, 2027.
Your incentive is processed and delivered through Choice Digital, our trusted payments partner. You'll receive an email when your incentive is ready to redeem. Once received, you can view your reward and balance history at weavegrid.choicepaymenthub.com.
